ベトナムSATREPSプロジェクト関係者が山口学長を表敬訪問しました Party of Vietnam SATREPS Project Visited Saitama University

本学理工学研究科は、埼玉県環境科学国際センターおよび国立環境研究所と共に、JST（科学技術振興機構）やJICA（国際協力機構）が共同実施する地球規模課題対応国際科学技術協定プログラム（SATREPS）
プロジェクト（平成29-33年度実施、研究課題「ベトナムにおける建設廃棄物の適正管理と建廃リサイクル資材を活用した環境浄化およびインフラ整備技術の開発」、代表：川本健教授）に採択されました。この事業は本学協定校?ベトナム国立建設大学(NUCE)と共同で取り組むものであり、その一環として、ミンNUCE副学長ら関係者8名が6月7日（火）に来学し、山口宏樹学長を表敬訪問しました。
対談では、今後の活動計画及び技術者、大学、政府機関が協力しプロジェクトを進めることの重要性について語られ、今後も引き続き協力していくことが約束されました。
理工学研究科は、NUCEと2006年11月交流協定締結以来、研究を中心とし活発な交流を続けています。2015年2月にはジョイント?マスター?プログラムを開始し、現在２名のNUCE修士学生がこのプログラムにより本学で修学しています。
Graduate School of Science and Engineering at Saitama University has been working on a JST- JICA Science and Technology Research Partnership for Sustainable Development (SATREPS) project since 2017, in collaboration with Center for Environmental Science in Saitama (CESS) and National Institute for Environmental Studies (NIES). The project title is ‘Establishment of Environmentally Sound Management of Construction and Demolition Waste and Its wise Utilization for Environmental Pollution Control and for New Recycled Construction Materials in Vietnam’ and led by Professor Ken Kawamoto of SU.
Eight members from National University of Civil Engineering (NUCE), the primary institute of SATREPS project in Vietnam, visited Saitama University for the meeting and made a courtesy call on President Yamaguchi, to report on the project. The following discussion reached a consensus on the importance of the project and the necessity for further cooperation.
NUCE and SU concluded the Exchange Agreement in 2006 and have been enhancing active research collaborations since then. Currently, two students study at SU within the framework of the Joint Master Program which was established between the two institutions in 2015.
